On Thursday, the Lady Rebels (22-3; 13-1) will host the Laurens Lady Raiders (10-8; 10-4)* in the District II bracket of the SCHSL 5A Softball playoffs.  The first pitch is scheduled for 6:30.

Byrnes and Laurens previously faced each other during the 2017 playoffs, when Byrnes defeated Laurens twice by scores of 3-0 & 2-1.  The Lady Rebels went on to win the 5A championship that season.

Although both teams were in the District II bracket of the 2018 softball playoffs, they never faced each other due to Laurens being eliminated by T.L. Hanna.  Byrnes went on to win District II, eventually landing in the championship series, where they would fall to White Knoll.
