Tomorrow, Tuesday December 3rd, the Rebel Wrestlers have their home opener against Westside, Travelers Rest, and the MS/JV will also wrestle West Oak.
Middle School and JV will begin wrestling at 5 , Varsity will begin at 6 and Girls will start around 6:30

It is important every day that students are in attendance but even more important as we finish out the semester and finalize attendance and grades as well as prepare for final exams.

In this class students will learn how to perform entry level maintenance and repair tasks on Diesel Engine, Braking System, Drivetrain System, and Electrical/ Hydraulic Systems. Students will work towards their ASE certification as well as other related certifications that will prepare them for a career in this field where the average salary is over $50,000/year.
Congratulations to the 23 Byrnes and BFA students who participated in the Region One Honors Orchestra concert this past weekend. Following an audition in October, these students joined the most talented musicians in the region to rehearse and perform a wonderful concert. Congratulations to these District Five students!

There will be 2 sessions offered for the January 3, 2025 Career Immersion Day:
The morning session will be from 8:00am-12:00pm and is focused on Peri-Operative career fields (careers working with patients before, during, and after surgery).
The afternoon session will be from 1:00pm-5:00pm and is focused on Acute Care career fields (variety of healthcare careers - Ex: Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, etc.).
The sign-up form will accept submissions until December 16, 2024.
Students will only be eligible to select 1 session.
Students will receive notification if they are selected by December 20, 2024 from SRHS.
If not selected, students will receive notification of upcoming Career Immersion Days. Additional sessions will be offered by SRHS during Spring Break.
Career Immersion Days were created to expand the number of outreach opportunities to students as they explore healthcare careers to build the pipeline of future healthcare workers. These days will follow a group model versus individual shadowing opportunities to allow for a more meaningful experience and to accommodate more students.

Ms. Ana Pacheco’s Spanish and French classes wrote what they were thankful for on turkeys posted on the wall outside her classroom. Their writing was in English, Spanish, and French.
Tonight the wrestlers will be competing in our 2nd Annual Blue Vs Grey Match at 6pm at Byrnes. They will be competing for starting spots and other unofficial matches. Admission is free and they would love to see you there supporting them.
The USC Upstate admissions representative will be back on campus tomorrow, November 19th, in the media center 9:00-3:00. Seniors who need help with the application or who have any questions are encouraged to go meet with him. The application is free until the end of this month.
It is a busy week for the Rebels!
